Shocking Video Shows Aspiring Rapper Shooting Her Manager in Wynwood

A shocking new video obtained exclusively by NBC6 shows the moment police say an aspiring rapper fatally gunned down her manager last month in Wynwood.

The video, which was captured by a surveillance camera near Wynwood Walls, shows a woman who police identified as Kevhani Camilla Hicks, 27, walking away from a white Lexus sedan after being attacked by two men. One of the men, who was later identified as her manager, follows her and yells at her before he turns back to the car. That's when Hicks pulls out a gun from her purse and fires several shots at him, hitting him multiple times in the torso.

The man collapses on the pavement as Hicks tries to run across the street, but is then struck by the Lexus as the driver flees the scene. Hicks and the man are both taken to the hospital, where the man dies from his injuries. Hicks is treated for non-life threatening injuries and arrested on a second-degree murder charge.

According to the police report, Hicks told detectives that she had a verbal dispute with her manager, which quickly escalated and turned physical. She said she was punched and thrown to the ground by the two men, and that she feared for her life when she heard her manager threaten to kill her with one hit. She said she acted in self-defense when she shot him.

Hicks is a rapper known as Key Vhani, and also lists herself as the CEO of Pretty Thug Music. She has posted several videos of her music on social media, including one where she raps about shooting someone. She is currently being held without bond at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Police say Kevhani Camilla Hicks, also known as Key Vhani, shot her manager multiple times after he attacked her along with another man.
