A video of a man being pulled out of a sewer pipe at an airport in Russia went viral. The man was Evgeny Titov, a 21-year-old from Zhigulyovsk, Samara Oblast, Russia. He was visiting a friend in Saint Petersburg and decided to crawl into a small pipe in the airport’s parking lot.


The pipe was only 30 centimeters wide, which is about the size of a ruler. Titov crawled for 12 meters, which is about the length of a bus. He could not go any further or turn back. He was trapped and needed help.


The rescue operation took more than seven hours. Rescue workers had to cut through the road, dig a deep hole, and break the pipe to get Titov out. They had to be very careful not to hurt him or damage the pipe. It was a difficult and risky job.
